US brand Transition will be unveiling their 2016 line-up at Crankworx whistler next month, with the promise of new colour-ways and design tweaks for the Giddy-Up trail bike range.

The range builds on 2015’s relaunch success, which saw the new bikes designed around a Horst link suspension system in place of their much-lauded single pivot.

Reviews have silenced detractors pining for the good old single pivot days, with test riders across the board declaring the bikes a flat out success.

In the UK, MBUK mag’s Transition Scout review gave the mid-travel trail bike a whopping four-and-a-half out of five stars.

Transition Scout

Vital MTB sang the praises of longer travel Transition Patrol.

US-based Bike Magazine gave the Transition Smuggler a thorough going over for their 2015 bible of bike tests, and were blown away by its capability, with one tester rider enthusing: ‘It is insanely good at railing down trails. It doesn’t even care where the line is. It is designed for people who want to hit things really hard.’

Transition are sticking with all the models for 2016, with fresh paint jobs across the board.

The Scout and Smuggler have also undergone design tweaks – stay tuned to the website for more news on that after Crankworx.

26” fans will be pleased to know Transition continue to support the old-skool wheelsize with the full-sus Supressor.

Hardtail devotees are catered for with the TransAm trail bike, available in 27.5” and 29”, as well the BLT and PBJ dirt jump and trick bikes.

And downhillers get the stunning TR500, with 180mm and 200mm travel settings and 26”/27.5” swapability.

We’re expecting a lot of demand for the new season’s steeds – Transition full-sussers were a sell-out this year leaving a lot of Giddyup wannabees disappointed.

The first (limited) UK drop is due in September, with more bikes landing in December, January and February.

We’re taking pre-orders now.

The Scout and Smuggler are available frame-only with a Rockshox Monarch shock for £1399, and we can spec a custom build for as little as £2000. The Patrol and Suppressor come in at £1549, with Monarch Plus RC3. For the first time, Transition are offering full bikes –  £2700 for the Scout, Smuggler and Patrol.

TransAm framesets are £529.

Remember we are one of only a handful of Transition dealers in Wales and the only one in the mid-Wales area.

And you can try before you buy on one of our Transition demo bikes – we have  a Transition Scout demo bike and a Smuggler built up and ready to roll!
