Mid-size, 650b wheels, are all the rage in the mountain bike world right now, but who knew they had a place on road bikes, too?
British brand Genesis – well known for their forward-thinking approach to bike design – have taken on the wheel size (in place of the usual 700c) for a road/cross bike aimed at younger and shorter riders.
The result is the Col du Glandon, named after the smaller peak beside the Croix de Fer, which lends its name to Genesis’ best-selling road bike.
Cycle to Work facilitators Cycle Scheme gave the Glandon a high five in a recent round-up of bikes for shorter people. Read what they had to say below.
Drover Cycles sells the Genesis Col du Glandon at £599.
