With the forecasters promising “a bright and breezy day with sunny spells” why not come along on tomorrow’s charity ride in aid of Cancer Research UK?
Whitney Toll Bridge will host the finish line – and much-needed refreshments!
The entry fee of £10 per rider will go to Cancer Research. Whitney Toll Bridge will also donate crossing tolls taken on the day.
The cost includes tea / coffee and cake at Whitney Bridge, where sandwiches will also be available for an extra donation.
Entry is on the day, Saturday May 16th, starting at our HQ on Forest Road, Hay, at 10am, or at Whitney Toll Bridge at 10.30am. Route maps will be provided and route cards can be downloaded below.
There’s also a family / junior ride option starting at Whitney Village Hall car park at 10.30 am (just past Church Barn Farm shop), with parking on the forecourt and lay-by opposite. The 11km event is £10 to enter for family groups, or £5 for individuals. You’ll need to head to Whitney Bridge afterwards for tea and cake!
If you’re without wheels, we have a range of bikes, tagalongs and childseats, that can be hired for the ride, and we’ll donate a third of every hire cost to Cancer Research.
Family bike hire for four costs £60, with £20 going to charity.
For the 80km loop we have steel-framed Genesis Equilibrium road bikes, as well as tandems and motor-assisted e-bikes if you feel like you might need a little help.
Road bike hire is £35, tandem £55 and e-bike £45, with 30% going to Cancer Research.
