There’s no denying Wales has a lot to offer cyclists – both on and off road.
Dramatic scenery, the unspoilt wilderness of the National Parks and an enviable network of cycleways conspire to make Wales one of the UK’s top destinations for two-wheeled fun.
But not many leisure riders find themselves equipped with a set of Wiggins super-strength thighs, and if there’s one thing the country also has in abundance it is hills. In whatever direction you choose to point your steed, sooner or later you’re going to find yourself staring at a wall of tarmac and wishing you’d had another Shredded Wheat for breakfast.
