For 2021, we have planned our most extensive and exciting fleet of rental bikes ever! Full details of all of the bikes will be posted here as we build them up, but here is a summary of what we will have available for hire this year.
Our Standard Mountain Bikes will be Marin Bobcat Trail 4s and we will have both 27.5″/650b and 29″ options in the fleet. As always we will have a full range of sizes to choose from and, like in previous years, we are upgrading a number of elements on the bikes to ensure the best possible riding experience for our guests. Hope Technology supply wheels, tyres are courtesy of Schwalbe (we’ve been using their Smart Sam Plus tyres for a number of years to ward off punctures) and we will also be fitting our own headsets, lock-on grips, and of course fitting out the bikes with saddle packs containing tools, an inner tube, and a chain link. We supply pumps and bottles cages on all of the bikes, and helmets too – all included in your hire price.
Another new brand joins us for our Premium MTBs which this year are supplied by Ragley in the form of their Blue Pig and Big Wig steel hardtails. These are fantastically well-specced bikes and will be a blast to ride.
Rounding off our MTB range we have Full-Suspension MTBs again supplied by Marin – the Alpine Trail 7. With 150mm of rear travel and 160mm Rockshox Yari forks, these are truly capable enduro/all-mountain bikes and will be ideal for tackling the more challenging riding of the Brecon Beacons, or for visits to Black Mountain Cycle Centre, Bike Park Wales, or the other Trail Centres nearby. More details of our MTB range here.
Cube are supplying our hybrid/leisure bikes, and also the Leisure E-Bikes which for 2021 will be Touring Hybrid EXCs. We will also have e-bikes from Moustache for touring and more rugged use.
Continuing the e-bike theme we have Mondraker electric hardtail EMTBs and Full-Suspension Electric Mountain Bikes from Moustache – the award-winning Trail 8.
On the road, we are in the process of building our fleet of Genesis Equilibrium Discs, and these will be our road bikes.
More info to come – meanwhile please contact us with any queries you may have.
