Never let it be said that we scrimp on our hire fleet!
Our Saracen Mantras went down a storm last year and for 2014 we stayed with the brand, but upgraded our fleet of 26’-wheeled hardtails to their Mantra Pro.
And the big news is the bikes have just won the runner-up spot in Mountain Bike Rider magazine’s prestigious ‘hardtail of the year’ test.
The Mantra Pro – rolling on 650b wheels – scored an impressive 9/10 in the £600 category, with the mag’s test riders blown away by its performance at the current jewel in the UK’s trail centre crown, Bike Park Wales.
They loved its ‘ready to rip’ attitude, and said: ‘From the very first pedal stroke, it was clear that the Saracen was the only other bike in this test that could attack – rather than simply survive – the tougher trails at Bike Park Wales. We instantly gelled with the Mantra’s thoroughly modern trail-bike attitude.
‘We quickly found ourselves blasting down every trail at breakneck speed looking for jumps to hit, rollers to pump and corners to slash.
‘The Saracen is so responsive to rider input you can’t help but play around and have fun with it.’
The Mantra Pro is available to hire at £17.50 for a half day or £27.50 for a full day.
