Test riders for new cycling glossy Bikes Etc (fresh from the creators of Cyclist mag) have put Merida’s Reacto Dura Ace through its paces on the volcanic island of Tenerife – with the bike impressing in spades.
Merida’s Reacto range is a production offering of the Italian Lampre team’s race machines, with the full aero carbon Dura Ace sitting near the top of the tree. It comes Shimano Di2 ready, with bio flax fibres woven into the carbon lay-up for improved vibration damping.
For their Dura Ace review, Bikes Etc took to the training ground of choice for Tour de France hopefuls.
Bikes Etc wrote: ‘The Reacto is a handsome machine – the attention to detail is impressive and the specification faultless. Stiff, aerodynamic, and surprisingly comfortable it climbs well and descends like a rocket.’
The Reacto range starts with the aluminum Reacto 300 at £999.99, with the Reacto Dura Ace retailing at £3500.00
