So yesterday we saw one of our Ride Lite 93 head off with a happy customer who has just sent us this photo.
She came to us having enjoyed a couple of years on a hybrid bike so much that she is keen to move onto something a bit more specific and get some more from her riding.
The Ride Lite 93 was the obvious choice. With a Shimano Tiagra groupset (including hubs!), great quality Merida finishing kit and the well thought out features of the Ride Lite frame the package offers unbeatable value at £849. The full carbon fork with tapered steerer gives a comfortable ride whilst maximising handling precision and front end stiffness. The flattened seat stays of the hydroformed rear end of the alloy frame allow enough vertical flex to take out some of the harshness common to aluminium frames whilst the chain-stays maximise pedalling efficiency. To have all of this technology at this price-point puts the Merida Ride Lite 93 head and shoulders above the competition.
What is more, with the relatively short reach and tall head tube of the Merida ‘ride’ series geometry, a simple saddle swap was all that was needed to create a package suitable for a female rider. Women’s specific road bikes are on offer from Merida, but sometimes a few adjustments and WSD components are all that is needed.
