Alpine 160
The Alpine 160 is a big-mountain dream machine, a serious bike for serious terrain. Ideal for an Alpine holiday or an all-day epic in the Lake District, it goes anywhere you dare. Want something a little smaller travel? The Five is the obvious choice. Have a look at the Patriot if you need a bike tuned more to descending.
Five
The Five has become ‘the’ definitive Orange bike, ten years in the making, a masterpiece of evolution and subtle refinement. Countless days and nights have been spent thinking about (and riding) the many tweaks and refinements needed to keep it at the forefront of the trail-riding scene. This, our ‘new’ version, continues to push the boundaries with a few choice additions complementing recent developments in mountain bike components. A state-of-the-art pièce de résistance, or a trail tool of simplicity? Whichever, nothing is more fun to ride…
The Five stays true to its roots as a low-slung, fast handling trail bike which can play gently in the Dales or storm a black run. The mix of Monocoque construction and custom butted 6061-T6 Reynolds tubes keep weight down with a new tapered headtube adding stiffness. A 30.9 mm seat-tube adds compatibility for more ‘dropper’ seat-posts and we’ve added ISCG mounts for securely fitting a chain device. The same single pivot position continues to keep the suspension balanced between sensitivity and efficiency with the bearing system promoting stiffness and reliability. The Five has already become a classic, and it just got better.
Gyro
So, big wheels versus small? That’s an impossible question, but if you want something blatantly fast, endurance efficient, but still fun enough to throw around, they don’t come better than this.
Clockwork
Orange’s iconic and legendary Orange Clockwork model makes a comeback in a brand new reincarnation that takes the original blueprint of a fast, versatile, multi purpose hardtail and plants it firmly into the 21st Century.
Light weight aluminium alloy replaces cro mo frame tubing, 29er wheels provide the speed and long distance comfort. Our years of experience tweaking frame geometry and tubing profiles give a ride that’s balanced, confidence inspiring and really lets the rider, be they beginner or expert, be at one with the trail.
The Clockwork is the perfect introduction to the Orange line-up. A good-looking, well-specced hardtail that begs to be ridden fast but is more than happy cruising if that takes your fancy. The frame is ready for any future upgrades you might have in store for it.
Crush
Forget links, pivots and platform damping, the Crush takes things back to basics, raises the stakes and really puts the buzz back into riding. It’s a bike that reflects our long-standing belief in pushing the limits for the sake of big thrills.
Designed around a grin inducing 140mm fork and a new tapered headtube, the Crush’s burly 6061-T6 aluminium frameset is reinforced in all the right places. The hydroformed downtube and 30.9 seat-tube delivers massive rigidity for superb tracking through the rough stuff. Meanwhile, rounded seat stays take the worst of the sting from the back end, giving a smidgen more comfort without compromising the bike’s killer acceleration. Shimano’s super-accurate 10-speed gear system keeps you spinning up the hills and takes the knocks on the way down. Finish off with a relaxed head angle, clearance for big tyres and a perfect bottom bracket height and you’ve got a perfectly balanced hardtail that just blew your excuse to ride it like one.
Tough, fast and built to go the distance, this is the hard man of hardtails. Make no mistake, the new Crush goes anywhere you dare.
Five Diva
The Five Diva has all the attributes faithful to the iconic Orange Five. The same meticulous attention to detail with an identical mix of monocoque and custom butted 6061 Reynolds tubing. Frame features also move across with a tapered head tube, ISCG mount and 30.9 seat tube for ‘dropper’ seatpost compatibility. Pivot position remains unchanged providing a bottomless feel with ground-hugging traction and sharp pedalling efficiency. Everything that’s good about the Five is good about the women’s specific version.
Diva geometry positions the rider’s centre of gravity to balance the suspension and make the most of our custom tuned Fox RP23 shock. Air forks keep weight down and aid manoeuvrability with other female specific spec highlights making the Five Diva intuitive to ride. No flowery graphics and no marketing puns, the Five Diva is the most solid trail bike for the way you ride, women’s bikes don’t have to be girly…
Diva
The Diva delivers everything you’d expect from an Orange hardtail, just subtly adapted to improve performance for women.
The 6061-T6 aluminium tubing is manipulated to create the best balance between stiffness and compliance. A chassis that’s efficient on the pedals, but forgiving enough to reduce fatigue and promote confidence off road. A slightly slacker head angle and steeper seat angle centre the rider, allowing easier weight distribution and greater control on technical trail features. Relieving contact on pressure points and allowing the rider easy movement around the bike, the Diva is built with one thing in mind; fun.
The Diva Pro offers that little bit extra than the standard bike; lighter weight with the spec upgrades which make the biggest difference. The bike for those wanting top quality without moving to full-suspension.
Air sprung forks ensure a perfect front-end setup, with external rebound adjustment making sure the front wheel never strays. Balance, weight, reach-adjustable disc brakes, short cranks and a female specific saddle make riding a pleasure on all day epics or a trip to the park. No more stretch and strain, the Diva is about the good times.
