Mountain Bike Rider magazine takes to the hills above Hay-on-Wye in their latest issue for a feature on bike packing in the Black Mountains.
Two of the four riders were on Pyga full suspension bikes supplied us, and reports suggest the bikes proved ideal all-mountain, bike-packing steeds.
The two-day trip took in the bothy on the shores of Grywne Fawr reservoir.
This tiny shelter is slap bang on the route of the classic Grywne Fawr circular, known locally as the ‘Talgarth Killer’.
This black-graded route is a big undertaking for a day ride. MBR’s writer added a few extra kilometres and split the outing over two days.
Check out some of the pics below – and make sure you grab a copy of MBR magazine to see how the riders got on – it’s on the shelves now.
