Time for another round-up of Drover-stocked mountain bike goodies making magazine headlines this month.
Mountain Bike Rider reviews brake sets and perhaps inevitably the superb value Shimano XT stoppers (£136.97) come out top of the crop. ‘Truly special,’ say MBR.
The Hope Tech 3 X2 (£181) takes runner up slot – a more expensive option but the low weight and simple set up from the iconic British brand make them a no-brainer.
Shimano are up for another hero-gram, this time from What Mountain Bike, in a review of their PD-M530 SPD pedals (£40). ‘It’s hard to find a good reason to buy any other clipless pedals than these,’ writes the tester.
Finally, MBR shine a light on…lights.
They give the Cateye Volt (£149.99) a 9/10 vote of approval for banging out a respectable 1200 lumens from its compact, rugged and cable-free package.
