Huge MTB news at Drover HQ – we’ll soon be stocking legendary US brand Transition and their 2015 line-up of brand new bikes.
Transition have been on our radar for a while and when an opportunity arose to bring the brand to Hay, we couldn’t resist.
Anyone familiar with the bikes will be well aware of their very vocal following of devoted fans.
They’ve never been louder than right now as Transition controversially moves away from its single-pivot suspension design to adopt a Horst Link set-up, taking advantage of Specialized’s recent patent expiry.
We predict the move will prove a good one, taking the bikes a step forward in terms of what they can do without compromising Transition’s reputation for fun, playful steeds that love to be ridden hard! Anyone who’s been lucky enough to swing a leg over the new models rates them highly – and we’re confidently told that the bikes represent improvement across the board. Given Transition’s standing, that’s quite an ask!
Arriving next month, we have the all new Transition Smugger 29er full-sus for you to demo, along with Trans Am steel hardtails rolling on 650b wheels.
In the New Year, Patrol and Scout bouncers will be landing – again, these will be available to demo.
All the bikes come frame only, with the Smuggler and Scout priced at £1399, the Patrol at £1499 and the Trans Am at £499.
There are also various full-build options, with the full-sussers starting at £2799 and going up to £4899 for XX1 spec, Pikes and carbon cranks and bars.
Of course, we can also spec a custom build to suit your needs.
